JOB VACANCIES
NJORECU LTD is a secondary cooperative society, registered in 6 September 2013 with registration No.5050. It operates in six districts which are Njombe, Wanging’ombe, Ludewa and Makete Njombe Town Council and Makambako Town Council.
The Union wishes to invite Tanzanian applicants with suitable qualifications and experience to fill the following available vacancies:
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT (1 POST)
The successful candidate will report to General Manager. He/She will be Head of Accounting and Finance Unit of the Union.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To manage the Accounting Department;
- To ensure that accounting and financial information is prepared and maintained correctly;
- To coordinate the exercise of budget preparation including the provision of regular budget information and control of the Union budget;
- Chief advisor for all financial matters to the management and the Board;
- To ensure that all legal returns are prepared and remittance are released on time;
- To ensure that the union complies with tax matters such as VAT, PAYE and withholding tax;
- To prepare monthly/ quarterly and annual returns;
- To design and implement financial internal control of the Union;
- To settle transactions in accordance with approval, with prudence and existing control with the Union;
- To prepare legal and regulatory informantion according to accepted standards;
- To prepare final accounts of the Union in accordance with accounting standards;
- Responding to audit queries in suport of management team;
- To perform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirement
- At least Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Finance, Business Administration Majoring Accountancy or Finance or related field from a recognized higher learning institution;
- Holder of professionally recognized accountants qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent qualification recognized by NBAA;
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role from a reputable organization.
