Job Title: Filling Supervisor

Job Summary:

On behalf of the client: We are seeking a skilled Filling Supervisor with hands-on experience in operating filling machines for a lubricant manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the filling operations, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision & Operations:
  • Oversee and manage the daily filling operations of lubricant products.
  • Operate and troubleshoot automatic & semi-automatic filling machines as required.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning optimally and report any breakdowns or maintenance needs.
  • Optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  1. Quality Control & Compliance:
  • Ensure products are filled accurately as per standard weights and volumes.
  • Monitor product quality and conduct periodic inspections to meet company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain good manufacturing practices (GMP) and ensure hygiene in the filling area.
  1. Team Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate the filling team, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
  • Provide training to machine operators and production workers on safe machine handling.
  • Monitor worker performance and address any operational concerns.
  1. Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain production logs, machine operation records, and shift reports.
  • Track raw material usage, batch filling records, and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Report daily production output and any issues to the Production Manager.
  1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on filling machines.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance and major repairs.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial/Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a lubricant or FMCG manufacturing plant.
  • Hands-on experience with filling machines (automatic & manual) and production line operations.
  • Knowledge of lubricant packaging standards and industrial safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle machine breakdowns.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage shift operations efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in working with lubricant blending & filling plants.
  • Familiarity with PLC-based filling machines.
  • Understanding of ISO, GMP, and safety compliance standards.
