There will be an element of local travel between Uganda and Kenya.

About the Company:
Our client is a leading supplier, agent, and manufacturer of industrial printers, including Videojet printers and coders. The office base in Nairobi Kenya is looking to expanding operations into Uganda and seeks to hire skilled technicians for its growing team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair Videojet printers and coders in client facilities, ensuring proper operation of equipment.
2. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs, adhering to manufacturers' guidelines and timelines.
3. Ensure proper date coding on FMCG products and provide training to clients on proper usage and maintenance.
4. Provide timely and accurate technical support to clients, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
5. Document all service activities, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and client interactions, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
6. Travel to client sites within Uganda and Kenya as required, providing on-site technical support and service.
7. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the timely availability of parts and equipment for repairs.
8. Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure equipment is operating at optimal efficiency.
9. Maintain a high standard of professionalism while interacting with clients and internal teams.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
1. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of industrial machinery or equipment maintenance, preferably with experience in printers and coders.
2. Matric & N3 Electronics qualification, or equivalent.
3. A degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in an engineering-related field, with at least 3-5 years of demonstrable experience.
4. A valid driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
5. Proficient in the use of basic hand tools, electrical measuring tools, and diagnostic equipment.
6. Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, repair, and installation skills.
7. Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
9. Previous experience in handling and maintaining industrial printing machines is an advantage.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong report-writing skills.
Work Environment:
- The role will primarily involve working in manufacturing plants, factories, packaging plants, and other industrial environments.
- Frequent local travel between Kenya and Uganda will be required.
