Resourceful Hub, on behalf of our client in the manufacturing industry, is seeking qualified and experienced Heavy Duty Machine Mechanics to join a dynamic maintenance team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of heavy-duty equipment used in industrial and manufacturing operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on heavy-duty machinery including loaders, bulldozers, excavators, forklifts, and production equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Overhaul engines, transmissions, and other key machine components.
  • Conduct scheduled servicing of heavy equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on the condition of machines.
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Work closely with the Workshop Manager and other technicians to prioritize and execute repair tasks.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly and stored safely.
  • Assist in parts requisition and inventory management.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company maintenance standards.
  • Use protective gear and follow safe work procedures at all times.
  • Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with heavy-duty industrial or construction machinery.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
