Resourceful Hub, on behalf of our client in the manufacturing industry, is seeking qualified and experienced Heavy Duty Machine Mechanics to join a dynamic maintenance team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of heavy-duty equipment used in industrial and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on heavy-duty machinery including loaders, bulldozers, excavators, forklifts, and production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Overhaul engines, transmissions, and other key machine components.
- Conduct scheduled servicing of heavy equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on the condition of machines.
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Work closely with the Workshop Manager and other technicians to prioritize and execute repair tasks.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly and stored safely.
- Assist in parts requisition and inventory management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company maintenance standards.
- Use protective gear and follow safe work procedures at all times.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or related technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with heavy-duty industrial or construction machinery.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
