Hospital Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate financial and management accounting reports.
- Maintaining effective hospital internal control systems and procedures.
- Providing accurate and timely management accounting reports and business performance data.
- Producing forecasts for income and expenditure on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Preparing Payables and Receivables reports
- Setting control measures for petty cash expenditures, reviewing petty cash requests, and ensuring accuracy and accountability of the petty cash expenditures before approval.
- Providing relevant and timely monthly statements, reports, and reconciliations.
- Updating records for fixed assets and all other financial documents as necessary, including maintaining the asset register for accuracy and timely updates and conducting regular asset verification exercises.
- Any other ad-hoc responsibilities as may be needed from time to time
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance or its equivalent
- CPA K qualification or equivalent
- At least 3 years of relevant experience ( Hospital experience is an added advantage)
- Ability to handle demands situations and work with minimum supervision
- Computer Packages Competence
