Zambia Cargo and Logistics Limited (ZCL) is a regional logistics service provider wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) through the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). ZCL operates terminals in Tanzania (Dar Es Salaam), Walvis Bay (Namibia), and an operating center in Ndola, Zambia.
ZCL is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill vacant positions, as listed below.
ICT Assistant – 1 Post
(A) Required Qualification
- Holder of Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields with relevant working experience of at least three (3) years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, and basic knowledge of networking and security practices.
(B) Attributes
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple support requests.
- Patient and user-focused approach to deliver a positive support experience.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals and cross-functional initiatives.
(C) Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist users by troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues promptly and effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance on computer systems, including installing updates, managing backups, and monitoring system health.
- Support network administration tasks, including user account management, connectivity checks, and minor troubleshooting of network issues.
- Assists with the overseeing of the customer billing functions.
- Receives and schedules operational tasks.
- To learn the techniques for the mechanical reproduction of drawings and photographs.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by one reporting supervisor.
