Information Technology Manager

- The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.
Responsibilities
- Manage technologies and provide administrative assistance for various systems
- Understand various IT troubleshooting and provide technical support
- Control and monitor data, network access and backup systems
- Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software's and troubleshooting
- Provide leadership in design and implementation of an IT strategy of the company to ensure efficient and continuous service delivery to all stakeholders.
- Lead, direct and oversee IT tools to ensure continuous cost-efficient operations.
- Scout for and advise management on the adoption and use of new and emerging technologies.
- Accountable for compliance to ICT policies pertaining to security of information and data protection.
- Provide guidance and support in resolving complex technical issues and ensure effective team development.
- Ensure all systems are secure, compliant with relevant regulations and remain fit for the organization’s requirements.
- Oversee regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Supervise, mentor and coach staff in the IT department fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Manage intellectual property and copyright infringement rights.
- Review and maintain ICT assets register including licenses and promote safe disposal.
- Develop strategies that will support visibility of the organization including constant updating of our website and social media accounts.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years working experience in ICT operations with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Cross-cultural experience will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in managing enterprises systems, including infrastructure, applications, and databases.
- Ability to support Wide Area Network and client-based applications.
- Proven experience in providing technical support in a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating system, software applications and networking.
- Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills including the ability to evaluate, plan, and manage projects.
- Familiarity with common business software applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- A team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
