  1. Research Officer – Unite4TB Project (1 Post)

    Location: Dar es Salaam

    Reports To: Principal Investigator

    Deadline for Application: 18th December 2024 (5:00 PM)The Research Officer will be an essential part of the Unite4TB project, providing general medical care to patients, conducting research, and ensuring the smooth management of site files and compliance with ethics. This is an exciting opportunity to play a direct role in tuberculosis research.Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Screening and enrolling patients for research studies.
    • Participating in the preparation of research findings reports.
    • Managing adverse events and ensuring proper patient care.
    • Development and management of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Communicating with Regulatory Authorities and Ethics Committees.
    Eligibility Criteria:
    • A Medical Doctor with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine.
    • Minimum of two years of experience in clinical research.
    • A valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate.

    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for all project activities.
    • Lead engagements with USAID, local government agencies, and other stakeholders.
    • Manage financial operations and ensure compliance with USAID regulations.

    • Ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget.
    Eligibility Criteria:
    • Master’s degree or higher in public health, healthcare, international development, or a related field.
    • At least 15 years of experience in international health programming, including 10 years in senior-level management positions.
    • Expertise in Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV, and youth programming is preferred.
    • Experience in managing multi-partner consortia and working with USAID regulations is a plus.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and management skills.
