As part of our commitment to the production, safety and quality control, we are seeking a motivated and organized Junior Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Junior Engineer to support daily operations at our feed mill. This role is ideal for someone with basic experience in machinery, welding, and vehicle maintenance who is eager to learn and grow in a hands-on production environment. The engineer will assist with supervising equipment maintenance, monitoring production equipment, and supporting small-scale civil and structural work as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Support: Assist with monitoring and maintaining the smooth operation of feed production machinery and systems.
- Maintenance Assistance: Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment, including mixers, conveyors, and vehicles.
- Supervision of Repairs: Oversee basic repair tasks carried out by technicians or external contractors, ensuring quality and safety.
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform or assist with basic welding tasks and simple fabrication jobs to support maintenance and repairs.
- Site Works Support: Help coordinate small civil works such as foundation repairs, trenching, or structural supports within the facility.
- Health & Safety: Follow safety procedures and assist with enforcing safe working practices on site.
- Reporting: Maintain logs of repairs and maintenance activities, and report any faults or hazards to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years’ experience in a factory or plant setting (internships or industrial attachments count).
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, welding, and electrical safety.
- Willingness to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and take initiative.
Preferred:
- Exposure to feed milling, agricultural processing, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Basic understanding of workshop tools and mechanical drawings.
