We seek to hire a Lead Consultant. The individual is mandated to work with Medium Size Businesses on strategic issues affecting their businesses and will be involved in leading a team that develops strategy, designs and builds new business systems and processes. The person will be involved in planning and executing a business development strategy to find MSB clients, leading the MSB clients through strategy creation, design-and-build of new business systems and processes, through to helping clients integrate and operationalize them.
The person is also expected to build, lead and manage an internal team that runs the product and an external team of consultants who provide strategy support to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Identify entrepreneur gaps and needs and develop proposals and solutions
- Develop strategies and help clients integrate and operationalize developed strategies
- Develop and adopt consulting tools, techniques and concepts for Wylde clients
- Facilitate business coaching, formulate recommendations and present the findings to the client
- Have speaking engagements at least one every two months (as a means of client prospecting)
- Write and publish thought leadership content
- Manage own or assigned client relationships/accounts with a focus on strong and lasting relationships
- Conduct client meetings and workshop facilitation
- Implement internal productivity improvements
- Constantly monitor various industry trends and develop solutions based on the trends
- Lead and train a team of internal and external coaches and consultants who deliver strategy to medium sized businesses
- Maintain a documented process for delivering Strategy for MSB ensuring that all improvements are documented and transferable
- Prepare and submit regular status reports
- Track and report on the progress of MSB clients along key metrics of sales revenue, profitability, employment growth, implementation of initiatives etc
- Identify new business opportunities and partners to generate leads and contract new clients
- Motivate and empower team members to achieve project goals.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Required Specifications:
- Minimum of a Degree in Degree in Commerce, Business Administration or a relevant field from a recognised university; A master’s degree is an advantage
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in entrepreneur-centered programs or in strategy development and business consulting for SMEs or any other related field
- Recognized professional certification;
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team of consultants
- Ability to train and empower others
- Team management skills and empowerment mind-set
- Project management skills and advanced research skills
- Deep understanding of strategy development, larger economic context and Multi-Sector knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal skills: excellent communication, listening and presentation skills
- A relevant degree from a recognized university
- Recognized professional certification
- Competence in planning and administering a project and departmental budget responsibly
