JOB PURPOSE and KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set direction for the Company at a strategic and tactical level, and develop and take accountability for the business plan in line with the Board’s Vision.
  • Define investment budgets & executing the agreed business plan to ensure that the agreed milestones are achieved.
  • Identify talent & build team which will support the execution of organization’s long-term business plan.
  • Ensure the business ethics outlined by the board are followed by the team to build great brand & be known for ethical, innovative business practices.
  • Analyze the market practices / customer expectations and build various business processes to ensure the client expectations are met & surpassed.
  • Build corporate relationships to ensure client acquisition & retention

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree in Strategic Management or similar from a recognized institution of higher learning.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Finance, Business Administration or related field from a recognized institution of higher learning.
  • AIIK Diploma/CII/CIM Diploma or any insurance related professional qualification will be an added advantage
  • 15 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years’ prior experience either as MD or CEO in a reputable insurance business in the region.
  • Executive Presence and ability maintain calm demeanor in high stress environments
  • Ability to develop/build and manage effective executive teams
  • Strategic mindset.

  • Communicate effectively at all levels
