Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML) is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 120 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its main office and operations in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and a supporting office in Dar es Salaam. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- To maintain a healthy workforce and working conditions to achieve high productivity and retain the social license to operate at Geita Gold Mine Health Centre.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in Nursing and Above.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years working experience,
- One Must be Registered with Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Performing basic clinical functions.
- Assessing patient conditions and recording vital signs.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Ensuring patient safety and promoting infection control.
- Assisting with personal hygiene and daily activities.
- Administering medications and managing pain relief.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition.
- Providing education and guidance on managing health conditions.
- Collaborating with patients and their families to develop care plans.
- Communicating and collaborating with doctors, therapists, and other specialists.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
- Performing vision screening, audiometric testing, lung function.
- Along with paramedics and staff physician respond to prehospital emergencies, in hospital stabilization and treatment and well as medical evacuations to higher centers.
