The key purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Packaging Department (People, Plant, Process and Systems) in order to achieve the required standard of product quality and output in the most efficient and effective manner.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Maintaining safety, Quality and Environmental standards
- Translate and implement ABInBev Strategies: Lead, Drive and maintain VPO
- Manage Human Resources: Train, coach and develop subordinates
- Facilitate multidisciplinary team effectiveness
- Be responsible for department administration activities
- Manage plant, process and systems: Ensuring conformance to specifications and standards
- Optimize process capability
- Co-ordinate packaging logistics
- Manage Productivity to within budgets
- Conduct injury investigations and audits
- Drive and maintaining VPO implementation
- Developing, cascading, tracking and monitoring team PI’s and KPI’s
- Support, participating and managing problem solving activities
- Continuously improving – QCDSM
- Managing and support the department MCRS
Maintain safe healthy and risk-free working environment
- Implement and comply with safety, health and environmental legislation and procedures
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards

Minimum requirements:
- BSc or Engineer degree
- 6-9 months on the job training Ideal
- 2-3 years as Unit Manager or Packaging Engineer
