WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHERThe Senior Bank Reconciliation Accountant plays a critical role in the Bank Reconciliation Shared Services workstream which is a key component of the Bank Reconciliation Center of Excellence (“BRCE”). The Shared Services workstream supports the advancement of TNC’s goals: sharpening our focus, strengthening our culture, and driving operational excellence. This role will have the opportunity to support organization-wide operational excellence through the optimization of people, processes, systems, and compliance via performing and delivering core finance services/workstreams in bank reconciliations. BRCE sits within the central Finance Business Unit (BU), allowing for more standardized processes and creating more efficiencies and synergy across the core finance services/workstreams.
Specifically, the Senior Bank Reconciliation Accountant will provide highly specialized account reconciliation services to the BRCE.

The Senior Bank Reconciliation Accountant is responsible for preparing reconciliations of cash and investment accounts, reviewing bank reconciliations performed by others, monitoring, and reporting the timeliness and quality of bank reconciliation performance, and reviewing transactions necessary to address reconciling items. This role serves as a technical expert on reconciliation issues and is a liaison between Worldwide Office and business units to ensure compliance with internal and external financial, accounting, and administrative policies and procedures. As part of this liaison function, the Senior Bank Reconciliation Accountant is expected to communicate deficiencies in bank reconciliations promptly and assist the bank reconciliation preparers with corrections and resolution of reconciling items. The Senior Bank Reconciliation Accountant will be responsible for updating and maintaining templates and procedures necessary to complete bank reconciliations and will occasionally be responsible for providing and explaining documentation to internal and external auditors, including responding to moderately complex questions and problems from these audiences. The Senior Bank Reconciliation Accountant is also responsible for implementing and communicating new accounting/financial procedures to non-financial audiences as well as auditors.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
- Reviews and/or prepares complex bank reconciliations and ensures reconciling items are communicated and resolved timely.
- Builds and maintains strong internal working relationships across different countries, cultures, and time zones.
- Resolves or escalates challenges through established proper channels.
- Routinely reviews and updates process documentation to ensure they are current.
- Provides recommendations to improve information flow, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensures programmatic commitments, TNC policies and procedures, financial standards, and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance.
- Participates in projects.

- Experience preparing and reviewing moderately complex bank reconciliations.
- Experience with accounting/financial issues and analysis.
- Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems, such as Agresso Business World (ABW) or Workday.
- Technical experience with spreadsheet programs, general ledger reports, and financial management tools.
- Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

SALARY INFORMATIONThis position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range for this position is generally within the range of $69,200 – $103,700 for annual base salary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be in local currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market, and not tied to the above pay range. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment and used to determine your actual pay range. Additionally, for all applicants, actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors including, for example, the candidate’s qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
