Function level: Senior Manager
Basic Purpose:
To ensure operational excellence through efficient and effective business processes, controls, and service delviery. Ensuring both people and systems are capable and engaged to provide the best customer experience, safety and security.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directing and facilitating Operational Excellence initiatives and plans in support of strategic, operational and process goals
- Promoting consistent organization-wide adoption of Operational Excellence methodologies, standards, tools, systems, processes and continuous improvement activities that align with business needs
- Ensuring great customer experience through effective management of problem statement, working with key stakeholders across business.
- Ensure implementation and effectiveness of controls in business operations.
- Work with 2nd and 3rd line of defense to ensure proper identification of risks and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions, including closure of audit/compliance issues. vi.
- Ensure appropriate and effective cost management across business.
- Drive quality assurance in key result areas across business.
- Support development of knowlegde and skill of workforce through operational performance reviews and recommendations.
- Support as key advisor to the General Manager – Bank Operations on matters related to controls and customer experience.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven leadership and people management skills with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.
- Full knowledge of BOT’s and other relevant banking regulations.
- Good knowledge of global technology trends.
- Industry knowledge and banking practice.
- An avid listener, with excellent communications skills.
- Self-driven, creative and innovative.
- Results driven and oriented.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree business/ technology/engineering or equivalent field.
Professional:
- Professional qualification in banking/financial/project management/operations/six sigma will be an added advantage.
Work Experience:
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in operations/audit/analytical roles, with at least 3 years at management level.
