    Key Responsibilities

    The key responsibilities of the Statistician will include:

    • Design and conduct statistical analyses to support data-driven decision-making.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain statistical models to improve results.
    • Perform data cleaning, preparation, and exploratory analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, epidemiologists, health officials, funders and decision-makers, to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
    • Prepare and present bulletins, reports, visualizations, and dashboards to effectively communicate findings
    • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data throughout the analysis process.
    • Stay current with the latest statistical methods, tools, and best practices.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Master’s degree (or higher) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in statistical analysis and modeling.
    • At least 3 publications in peer reviewed journals
    • Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, or STATA.
    • Strong expertise in statistical methodologies such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, time-series analysis and Bayesian modeling.
    • Experience working with large datasets and performing data cleaning and preparation.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills for presenting complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or ggplot2.
    • Experience with machine learning techniques and predictive modelling.
    • Familiarity with databases and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
    • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques such as Bayesian statistics and Monte Carlo simulations.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
