    Your contributions

    As the Strategic Finance Analyst, you will work closely with senior leadership, business unit and department leaders supporting the development of annual operating plans (AOP), long range plans (LRP), periodic forecast updates, investment analysis and maintaining company KPI’s.

    Primary Functions/Goals:

    • You will be responsible for the financial and analytical aspects of key business decisions, go-to-market strategies, resource allocation, partnership, and investment decisions.
    • You will help drive the annual planning process, working closely with business partners to translate top-down targets into accountable budgets and complete analysis, modelling, and research to support preliminary and adjusted forecast cycles.
    • Perform valuation analysis using various valuation techniques (DCF, NPV, Real Options, etc.) on the overall long term business plan, as well as any incremental investment opportunities and business segments as part of the company’s long term investment strategy by developing pro-forma financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow statements)
    • Participate in all parts of the acquisition, investment, and strategy lifecycle, including transaction origination, market research, due diligence, transaction structuring, and financial analysis.
    • Develop frameworks to analyze business problems using qualitative and quantitative approaches, working on financial benchmarking and business modeling to provide fact-based rationale for Viya’s strategic choices across organic and inorganic upside opportunities.
    • Your work will also involve conducting extensive due diligence work, which may include collecting historical information, developing and executing a comprehensive work plan, reviewing contracts and policies, gathering and analyzing data, identifying risks, conducting competitor analysis, financial analysis, and valuation.
    • Develop and maintain forecast models including bottoms up, data driven models to understand segmentation, pricing optimization, sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis and financial impact analysis through advanced simulation methods.
    • Develop and standardize financial analysis models and templates that can be utilized across the company and financial organization by employing best-in-class financial modelling techniques.
    • Effectively influence finance and non-finance stakeholders by providing the essence of what is important regarding key issues through clear explanation of complex financial issues and respective consequences.

    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a focus on Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or another quantitative field is required.
    • A postgraduate degree in a related field e.g. MBA, Economics or Accounting would be advantageous.
    • 5+ years of work experience, preferably in analytical finance roles in fields such as Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Equity Research, Private Equity, Equity Strategic Consulting.

    Recommended skills & abilities

    • Excellent quantitative and modeling skills and significant experience with Microsoft Excel
    • The individual must be innovative and highly analytical with deep business acumen, process orientation, excellent communication and collaboration skills and a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues
    • Advanced financial modeling skills and in-depth understanding of financial statements - P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, and the ability to build pro forma financial analyses for new business and service lines
    • Excellent financial analysis and valuation skills, including understanding of merger/acquisition analysis and related issues
    • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and develop strong working relationships across all levels of the company
    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results
    • Experience and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment
    • Highly effective written, interpersonal and oral communication skills, talent to tailor communications to all audience types and levels; ability to influence change
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail and timeliness.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
