St. Philip Neri School is seeking an experienced Swimming Coach to lead a new chapter in the school’s aquatic programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction, ensuring safety, and fostering skill development for participants of varying ages.

  • Minimum Qualification :Certificate
  • Experience Level :Mid level
  • Experience Length :5 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group swim instruction tailored to participants’ abilities and goals.

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Learn-to-Swim levels or other recognized water safety curricula.

  • Educate participants on proper swimming techniques and safety practices.

  • Conduct swim tests and maintain records of skill progression, attendance, and lesson logs.

  • Ensure all teaching areas and equipment are hazard-free and meet safety standards.

  • Respond to emergencies following established protocols and action plans.

  • Assist in maintaining pool cleanliness and equipment safety.

  • Support Physical Education classes as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification from YMCA, Kenya Swimming Coaches Association, or FINA.

  • Valid lifeguard and first aid certifications.

  • Minimum 5 years of swim instruction experience.

  • Proficiency in teaching all major strokes (front crawl, back crawl, sidestroke, breaststroke, elementary backstroke).

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
