Chief of Party

Position Title: Chief of Party

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Reports to: Tanzania Team Leader

CCP is recruiting for an anticipated USAID-funded bilateral award for Tanzania.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Chief of Party (COP) will be responsible for setting the vision and strategic direction, technical leadership, and financial management of the project. They will be the primary communication channel for reporting and relationships with USAID/Tanzania Mission, the Ministry of Health (MOH), the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), and project and implementing partners. The COP will ensure compliance with USAID and Johns Hopkins University (JHU) processes and regulations, oversee all project implementation, communications, monitoring, evaluation, research, and financial reporting. This is a Key Personnel role approved by USAID.

Specific Duties:

  • Set the project vision and strategy with USAID and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the project.
  • Ensure deliverables are met on time, of high quality and evidence-based.
  • Liaise with USAID, MOH, PO-RALG, and other partners.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial and programmatic reporting.

Deputy Chief of Party

Position Title: Deputy Chief of Party

Position Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Director

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Director will oversee all monitoring, evaluation, learning, and research (MERL) and quality assurance (QA) activities of the project. The MEL Director will lead the development and implementation of the Activity Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Plan (AMELP) and corresponding monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems.

Specific Duties:

  • Lead the development and updating of the AMELP and tools.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor project activities.
  • Lead data collection and research for SBC program development.
  • Ensure proper documentation of monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate with USAID, MOH, and other partners.
