Introduction
The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is tasked with maintaining and developing the trunk and regional road networks in mainland Tanzania. TANROADS also conducts axle load control operations using weighbridge scales.
The Regional Manager of TANROADS Coast, on behalf of the Chief Executive of TANROADS, seeks qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacant positions under the project for upgrading the Utete-Nyamwage road (33.7 km) to bitumen standard, Contract No. TRD/H0/1036/2022/23. These are specified employment contracts for the road project, with the following positions available:
Position Title: CAD Technician (1 Post)Key Entry Qualifications:
- Tanzanian citizen with a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, or Land Surveying from a recognized institution.
- At least five years of working experience in a related field.
- Certificate in CAD training.
- Prepare drawings and sketches related to road or bridge design in collaboration with other staff.
- Coordinate with the Highway Engineer for sketches or drawing improvements.
Additional Information:
- Terms of Service: Specified contract for one year.
- Successful applicants must be willing to work for considerable lengths of time in the Coast Region, where the projects are located.
