Mwiba Holdings Limited is registered Tanzanian Company under Companies Ordinance (Cap. 212) and a leading Hospitality company with its Operations in Arusha, Meatu-Simiyu and Mara Regions.
We are currently looking for A Civil Engineer (1 positions) to be part of our Team, the role is based in Arusha with rotation to other employer’s properties.
Key Responsibilities;
- Coordinate, plan, and supervise all construction activities from design through execution and handover.
- Liaise with external contractors and consultants to ensure deliverables meet quality, time, and budget expectations.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor performance & timelines of third-party service providers
- Lead daily site activities where direct execution is required and supervise casual teams on-site to ensure workmanship quality and efficiency.
- Ensure proper implementation of safety standards and compliance with environmental and building regulations.
- Track project expenses and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials.
- Ensure all projects comply with local and environmental standards.
Qualification and Skills;
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience in construction project management, preferably in remote locations or lodge/hospitality-related environments.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- An advanced level of computer literacy .
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel/relocate to project sites.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural, decentralized work environment.
- Familiar with Tanzanian construction laws, OSHA requirements and labor practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients/customers.
- Flexibility – Have the ability to work through periods of high demand and ready to work on weekends
- Assertiveness, patience and good organizational skills.
- A highly self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as within a group
