The Company Clinical Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to employees within the organization. This includes diagnosing and treating work-related illnesses and injuries, conducting health assessments, providing health counselling, and contributing to the development and implementation of workplace wellness programs.   • Minimum Qualification :Diploma
  • Experience Level :Mid level
  • Experience Length :5 years
  • Provide immediate care for work-related injuries and illnesses, including first aid and emergency medical assistance.
  •  Diagnose and treat common medical conditions that may arise in the workplace, offering advice on treatment and care.
  •  Refer employees to external healthcare providers or specialists when necessary
  •  Conduct pre-employment medical assessments and fitness-for-duty evaluations.
  •  Regularly monitor employee health and wellness through routine check-ups or screenings.
  •  Carry out health risk assessments to identify any potential hazards or health concerns related to the work environment.
  •  Ensure the organization complies with local and international health and safety laws and regulations on health.
  •  Advice management on issues related to occupational health and safety, including risk assessments and necessary precautions.
  •  Develop, implement, and review health and safety protocols, including emergency medical response plans.
  •  Design and promote wellness programs aimed at improving the overall health of employees (e.g., stress management, nutrition advice, and exercise programs).
  •  Offer counselling on lifestyle issues such as smoking cessation, mental health support, and work-life balance.
  •  Coordinate vaccination programs, and other preventive health measures.
  •  Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees.
  •  Prepare health-related reports for management, highlighting trends, potential concerns, and recommendations for improvements in employee health management.
  •  Manage worker's compensation claims and support employees through the process.
  •  Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees.
  •  Provide first aid and emergency care during incidents or accidents at the workplace.
  •  Ensure that the workplace is equipped with necessary first aid supplies and medical kits.
  •  Lead or assist in the development of emergency response protocols for medical emergencies.
  •  Provide health education to employees, such as ergonomics, mental health awareness, and stress reduction techniques.
  •  Conduct training sessions on safety procedures, handling of workplace injuries, and general health best practices.
  •  Work closely with HR and management teams to handle cases of employee sickness, absence, or long-term medical leave.
  •  Advise on reasonable accommodations for employees with medical conditions or disabilities.
  •  Assist with return-to-work programs for employees recovering from illness or injury.
  •  Continiously improve the service level to employees

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  •  Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution or bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine and Community Health with over 5 years experience.
  •  Practical work experience in the Horticulture industry will be an added advantage .
  •  Registration with the Clinical Officers Council.
  •  Strong clinical skills and knowledge.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Proficiency in computer applications, including electronic health records.
  •  Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
