Job Description

  • You provide news on our intranet and private RZ (social) media channels like narrow casting.
  • You write articles and translate international articles for our internal magazine and intranet page.
  • You assist with writing speeches and presentations where needed.
  • You help develop video stories.
  • You develop, coordinate and are active in the implementation of communication plans within projects as advisor or facilitator.
  • You advise on communication issues within our local organization.
  • You support in the communicational aspect of promotional events such as Sabasaba, Nanenane and the national and international field days.
  • You attend to government and non-government delegates within the company when needed, in close collaboration with the Administration and respective department.
  • You will attend certain governments meetings and events as part of building relationships.
  • You will be part of the International Communication Group, and you will be the point of contact and sparring partner for the Communications and Publication Affairs department in the Netherlands.
  • You support directors and managers in managing effective communication on change management.
  • Close collaboration with our IMS department on communication tools.

Requirements

  • A completed university education in the field of Communication Science, Journalism or Behavioral Science.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience with developing (online) content, also in English.
  • Affinity with new media, design and working with content management systems (CMS systems) and the Agricultural sector will be an added advantage
  • Skills related to behavioral change/change management.
  • Good command of the Swahili and English language, both spoken and written.
  • Experience working in an international setting
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High ethical standards
  • Capable of handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Reliable, honest, and trustworthy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills
