The Company is looking to recruit a Company Procurement Manager who will strategically develop and execute all centralized procurement activities for Braeburn Schools Limited, encompassing both local and overseas sourcing. This role ensures optimal cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance across the organization. The manager will directly oversee company-level procurement, including import logistics, and provide robust oversight, policy development, and guidance for procurement activities at individual school levels. This position requires cultivating strong supplier relationships (local and international) and championing ethical, transparent procurement practices.

    Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Professional qualification in Purchasing and Supplies Management (e.g., CIPS, KISM) is essential.
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role including
      • Demonstrable experience in international trade, import logistics management, and managing both local and overseas sourcing.
      • Proven experience in leadership/management, including training and developing teams.
      • Experience working within the educational sector is a distinct advantage.
    • In-depth knowledge of modern sourcing and procurement principles, strategic planning, and best practices including Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
    • Strong understanding of Kenyan procurement law, import regulations, and international trade practices.
    • Exceptional negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
    • Excellent financial acumen, budgeting, and analytical skills with a keen eye for cost-saving opportunities.
    • Ability to develop and implement effective procurement policies and procedures.
    • Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
    • High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and a commitment to transparency.
