    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide secretarial services and technical support to the Corporation Board of Directors and its Committees to enable them meet their obligations;
    • Provides legal representation and manage litigations;
    • Prepare, circulate and maintain safe custody of Board’s minutes, legal documents, instruments and Corporation’s seal;
    • Facilitate the Board in carrying out induction and training;
    • Update Board and Committees on charters;
    • Prepare and implement Board work plans;
    • Maintain and update the register of conflicts of interest;
    • Interpret Laws governing the Corporation’s operations and giving legal advice;
    • Ensure that all the licenses, agreements and permits of the Corporation are valid and renewing legal contracts;
    • Ensure the safety of the Corporation from Legal litigations;
    • Ensure documentation of all legal documents of the Corporation are in order to maintain confidentiality
    • Formulate, vet, review, negotiate contracts, leases, agreements and Memorandums of Understanding and recommending          for execution by the CEO;
    • Review the Corporation’s legal framework and propose amendments;
    • Participate in formulation, implementation and review of policies in line with relevant laws and Government policies;
    • Provide overall supervision of legal audits and ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements;
    • Coordinate implementation of a robust performance management system within the legal services division by providing oversight of the delivery of the annual performance contract and strategic plan;
    • Manage, supervise, coach and mentor staff in the legal services division and foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and good citizenship; and
    • Any other duty or responsibility as may be assigned by the CEO.

    Requirement for Appointment

    • A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Corporation Secretary/Manager Legal Services if that person meets the following minimum requirements:
    • At least ten (10) years’ work experience, five (5) years of which must have been in senior management role
    • Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Administration or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
    • Bachelor’s degree in Law or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law;
    • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and in good standing;
    • Member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and in good standing;
    • Certified Public Secretary (CPSK);
    • Member of ICPS (K) and in good standing;
    • Management/Leadership Course lasting not less than Four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.

    Manager, Mineral Exploration

    Key Responsibilities

    • Designing and managing diverse field-based exploration programs;
    • Reviewing research proposals and reports on geological investigation and mineral exploration;
    • Reviewing performance of geological contractors and consultants;
    • Designing and execution of exploratory drilling to extract subsurface rock cores for sampling, analysis and modelling of 3-D geometry of the ore body to estimate grade and tonnage;
    • Conducting studies and identifying growth opportunities to determine the viability of mineral prospects for profitable extraction; 
    • Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety Standards, including Personal Protective Equipment; 
    • Providing overall leadership for the Division by ensuring daily business operations;
    • Ensuring continuous capacity building, coaching and mentorship of Division’s Staff;
    • Development of Growth Strategy Planning for Mines; 
    • Evaluating performance and productivity;
    • Any other duty or responsibility as may be assigned by the CEO.

    Requirement for Appointment

    • A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Manager, Mineral Exploration if that person meets the following minimum requirements:
    • Master’s degree in the following disciplines: - Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry, Environmental Geology, Engineering Geology, Earth Sciences, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Bachelor’s degree in the following discipline: - Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry, Environmental Geology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • At least ten (10) years’ work experience, five (5) of which must have been in a management role;
    • Management/Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Registered by the Geologist Registration Board (GRB) and in good standing;
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution.

    Manager, Investment Analysis

    • A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Manager Finance and Accounting if that person meets the following minimum requirements:
    • Master’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accounts, Economics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Finance, Business Administration, Economics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA K) or its equivalent;
    • Member of institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK) and in good standing;
    • At least ten (10) years’ work experience, five (5) years of which must have been in management role;
    • Management/Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from recognized institution;

    Key Responsibilities

    • Spearhead development, implementation and review of policies, procedures, strategies and activities to ensure effective contribution of the Human Resource, records and administration function towards achievement of the plans in the Division;

    • Overseeing the administration and processing of the payroll/HR database;
    • Coordinating the management of employee relations and staff discipline;

    • Developing, reviewing and implementing Departments work plans, budgets and programmes;
    • Manage the day to day administrative and operational functions of the department in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements;
    • Provide leadership in matters relating to industrial relations through well managed staff welfare schemes, a healthy and safe working environment, effective management of disciplinary and grievance issues, and effective communication processes;
    • Managing staff performance in the Corporation including coordination of performance appraisal activities; and
    • Any other duty or responsibility as may be assigned by the CEO.

    Requirement for Appointment

    • A person shall be qualified for appointment as the Manager, Human Resource Management and Administration if that person meets the following minimum requirements:
    • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
    • At least ten (10) years’ work experience, five (5) of which must have been in a senior management role;
    • Be a Certified Human Resource Professional(CHRP) and have a valid practicing Certificate;
    • A member of the Institute of Human Resource Management and in good standing;
    • A Certificate in Management/Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and
    • Fulfilled the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution
