Role:
MST has an exciting opportunity for an organized and proactive individual looking to work as The Director of Corporate Services, based in Dar es Salaam. Reporting to the Country Director, the Director of Corporate Services acts as a business partner to the Country Director (CD) in leading the Corporate Services directorate by designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring the delivery of corporate support services, including Information & Communication Technology, Procurement, Logistics & Distribution, and Administration & Security.
The Director of Corporate Services has the primary responsibility to drive the organizational efficiency, as well as sustainability, through the efficient management of a range of support services. This role is a member of the senior leadership team, which is collectively responsible for driving the organization towards growth, sustainability, and high levels of client satisfaction. The senior leadership team works together to achieve the organization’s mission and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, manage, and direct the delivery of core business support functions by developing and delivering strategy, procedures, and systems that result in risk management, efficiencies, and value for money in Corporate Services.
- Provide oversight and manage risks associated with Corporate Services, including management policies, contracts, procurement of goods and services, negotiation of contracts, ensuring terms and conditions mitigate risk and comply with stakeholder’s requirements.
- Have a full understanding of donor requirements and the organizational procurement manual and ensure the supply chain/procurement team follows such requirements at all times and receives appropriate training in relation thereto.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Procurement-related disciplines from a recognized university or institution.
- Knowledge of donors’ requirements in different areas including procurement policies, regulations, and compliance e.g., FCDO, USAID, GAC etc.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement (desirable), customs clearance, and importation procedures.
- A minimum of six (6) years’ experience at a senior level in a similar role with a reputable organization, preferably in health management, family planning, community development, and/or social marketing, especially in NGOs.
- Registration with relevant professional bodies (a CPSP holder with valid registration with the PSPTB will be an added advantage).
- Proven leadership and management skills that motivate performing teams and encourage innovation and creativity.
- A strong strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills.
- The highest levels of integrity and a strong ethical attitude.
- Personal attributes should include being pro-choice with a strong commitment to the goals and vision of Marie Stopes.
