Our client, with sizeable farms in Kenya, is seeking to recruit technically qualified agriculturalists as Farm Supervisors to oversee the farms’ end-to-end operations. Reporting to the respective Farm Manager, the Supervisor will support in daily operations of a mixed- use farm entailing both crop and livestock production. The role involves hands-on supervision, co-ordination of farm activities, and ensuring smooth operations of all farm systems to achieve high productivity, efficiency and enterprises’ profitability.

- Experience Length :3 years
- Assist in planning and implementing planting, weeding, fertilization, and harvesting schedules as well as supervise farm workers during these duties.
- Provide expert advice on soil management, crop selection, planting techniques, and disease control to optimize yields and quality.
- Assist with daily animal care including feeding, watering, cleaning, monitoring animal health and alerting the Farm Manager or veterinarian when necessary.
- Help coordinate vaccination, deworming, and breeding schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of farming activities, expenses, yields, crop/animal performance and health or any other relevant data for analysis and decision-making.
- Monitor farm equipment uses and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist in inventory management of inputs like feeds, seeds, and agrochemicals.
- Help enforce safety, hygiene, biosecurity protocols and train casual workers on best farm practices.
Personal Specifications:
- Diploma in General Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role on a mixed-use farm.
- Understanding of modern agricultural practices, irrigation techniques, pest management and crop-specific requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
- Basic record-keeping and computer skills are an advantage.
