BASIC PURPOSE:
Provide service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, gas, fire & safety, A/C, TV, Laundry, Kitchen and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
- Operate various plants (Generator, RO, STP)
- Handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers, pumps and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
- Assist Engineering coordinator with maintaining stock of spare parts and consumables.
- Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manner.
- Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
- Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel.
- Carry out special duties and project as instructed.
- To conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti and encourage employees to do the same.
- Dresses in issued uniform and ensures a neat, clean and tidy appearance at all times.
- Reports to work on time, aware of schedule at all times and if unable to attend work, notifies direct supervisor in adequate time as stated in Employee Handbook.
- Ensure you are fully familiar with the new Four Seasons Health & Safety program Lead with Care and attend all the mandatory training.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support the installation or relocation of any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
- Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel.
- Support the installation of electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and of electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups.
Reports to: Engineering Supervisor/Engineering Manager
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Education: High school Graduate, Trade or Vocational Certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Experience required by position is two years minimum employment in a related position with Four Seasons or other organizations.
Skills and Abilities: Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance and plant operation.
Strong Technical skills in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanics, electrical, plumbing water treatment and generator operation.
Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-Job or through a series of professional certifications.
Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
Ability to read and speak and write English.
