Representing a shared service hub, it seeks to leverage our experiences from one company to help another to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
Job Overview
The IT Specialist will oversee the company’s technology infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of network and communication systems while supporting daily IT needs across all company locations. Responsibilities include network management, data security, and support for communication and POS systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network and Infrastructure Management: Set up, configure, and maintain computer networks, servers, and connectivity solutions to ensure seamless data flow and system access.
- Hardware and Software Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware (computers, printers, etc.) as needed. Install, update, and manage software applications essential for company operations.
- Data Security and Backup: Implement protective measures against data breaches, ensure consistent data backups, and conduct regular security assessments.
- Communication Systems Management: Maintain communication infrastructure for smooth operations across company locations, including land-to-lake and security channels.
- POS System Management: Oversee Point-of-Sale (POS) systems in retail, lakeside, farm, and online outlets to ensure functionality and data accuracy.
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support to staff, assisting with troubleshooting and offering training to improve technical proficiency.
- System Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear documentation of IT processes, network configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Generate regular reports on IT performance and upgrades.
Requirements:
- Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related qualification with at least 2 years of experience in IT support or network management.
- Proficiency in configuring networks, maintaining servers, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Familiarity with POS systems and experience supporting retail or field-based operations.
- Knowledge of data security practices, including backup and protective measures against breaches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to support and train non-technical staff.
