     Scheduling and administrative support:- 

    • Senior stakeholder management both within and outside the organization.
    • Manage the schedule for the CEO, including diary scheduling and arranging meetings and travel across various time zones. 
    • Act as the point of contact for general internal & external communications.
    • Prepare presentations and reports/papers for the CEO as required.
    • Support the CEO in the timely preparation of agendas and drive the schedule of monthly and quarterly meetings where necessary.

    Requirements

    • The overall purpose of this job is to conduct agricultural research, develop innovative farming techniques, and improving crop production methods to enhance yield, quality, and sustainability. This involves trials, data collection, analysis, and implementation of new agricultural technologies, recommending Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and industry standards.

    Job Details

    • Design and execute crop trials, evaluate different crop varieties, fertilizers, pest control methods, and irrigation techniques to determine the most effective practices;
    • Gather and analyze field data on crop performance, soil conditions, climate factors, and pest management to generate insights that inform production decisions;
    • Research and recommend innovative agricultural practices, such as precision farming, organic cultivation, and soil fertility improvement, to optimize productivity and sustainability;
    • Work closely with the agronomist to assess plant growth, nutrient uptake, disease resistance, and environmental stress tolerance in various crop varieties;
    • Handle new varieties and research before they can proceed to production.
    • Selection and build-up of clean mother-stock 
    • Responsible for and managing the elite mother-stalk research area
    • Conduct a  Rinsate Analysis of on spray booms and knapsacks to ensure they are not contaminated;
    • Conduct trials on new and existing pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to determine effectiveness, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and minimize environmental impact;
    • Research biological and chemical control methods to develop sustainable and eco-friendly pest and disease management strategies;
    • Coordinate soil, water compost and plants sampling, analyze test results, and recommend appropriate amendments to improve soil health and optimize irrigation strategies;
    • Participate in plant breeding activities by evaluating desirable traits, assisting in hybrid development, and conducting field assessments of new plant varieties;
    • Conduct predators breeding to help in combating pests 
    • Maintain accurate records of all trials, prepare detailed reports, and share research outcomes with the agronomy team and management for decision-making;
    • Monitor emerging trends, and best practices in research, development, and sustainable farming to integrate innovations into farm operations;
    • Adhere to industry regulations, certification standards, and environmental policies in all research and field trials to meet compliance requirements;
    • Assist in training the production team on new agricultural practices, research findings, and improved farming techniques to enhance productivity;
    • Research and recommend climate-smart agricultural practices to mitigate the effects of extreme weather, drought, and other environmental challenges;
    • Ensure all research tools, trial plots, and laboratory equipment are well-maintained and used efficiently; and
    • Any other responsibilities assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or related field from a recognized institution 
    • Relevant certification is an added advantage.
    • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in relevant or similar role.
    • Knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, and agronomy.
    • Experience in designing and conducting field trials.
    • Proficiency in data collection, statistical analysis, and reporting.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in agriculture.

    The overall purpose of this Job is to analyze and manage the costs associated with a company’s operations. This involves developing cost control strategies, preparing detailed cost reports, and providing insights to support financial decision-making.

    Job Details

    • Prepare costing reports for shipments by analyzing expenses related to labor, packing materials, transport, and freight, ensuring accurate cost allocation for financial planning;
    • Produce cost accounting reports by collecting, analyzing, and documenting operational costs to provide insights into cost efficiency and profitability;
    • Support the finance department in managing and analyzing operational costs by tracking expenses and providing reports that help optimize cost control and resource allocation;
    • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for each project by evaluating expected costs against potential revenue or savings, ensuring financial viability before project implementation;
    • Support in accurate reporting of all direct and indirect costs associated with operations by maintaining detailed records and verifying cost allocations to enhance financial transparency;
    • Monitor and track inventory costs by collaborating with procurement to ensure cost control measures align with budget forecasts and prevent unnecessary expenses;
    • Handle routine administrative tasks such as responding to financial queries, liaising with suppliers on payments, and assisting in the preparation of financial documents to support the overall efficiency of the Finance Department; 
    • Update freight invoices, including airplane receipts, and ensure they are recorded correctly in the financial system;
    • Participate in the annual audit process by compiling necessary financial documentation, assisting auditors with queries, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations to support a transparent audit; and
    • Any other responsibilities assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Strategy or any other business related fields from a recognized institution. 
    •  A minimum of CPA Section II 
    • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.
    • At least one (1) year at a supervisory level
    • Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems (QuickBooks).
    • Strong skills in budget creation, analysis, and monitoring.
    • Ability to manage statutory returns and tax payments.
