Main Duties:
- Attending to antenatal mothers, reviewing reports and conducting safe deliveries.

Main Duties:
- Providing pre and post-anaesthetic assessment and care of patients in the hospital
- Working with surgeons to administer anaesthetics in a manner that is safe for the procedure being done
- Providing support on the management of patients admitted to the ICU in conjunction with Consultants, Registrars, ICU coordinator and other support staff.
- Addressing promptly any concerns raised by patients or their kin in regard to care or treatment given in consultation with the Director of Medical Services and other professionals.
- Documenting and maintaining records of all procedures undertaken.
- Guiding, supervising and providing continuous education to junior medical staff and students.
- Keep abreast with trends, development and utilization of technology in the field of anaesthesia and intensive care medicine on an ongoing basis.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives within the department and providing reports as required.
Required Qualifications for the Position
- MMED in Anaesthesia and Critical care
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB ChB)
- Minimum 3 years as a Senior Medical Officer
- At least 1 year in a busy theatre
- Ability to train & develop staff
- Registered with KMPDC with a valid practicing license
