Lake Cement Ltd is a specialist in cement manufacturing with a state-of-the-art fully integrated cement plant, with a captive 10MW thermal power plant.
Based in Tanzania
Experience: Seeking freshers or individuals with up to 1 year of experience in DCS panel & Boiler/ Steam Turbines operation, including maintenance expertise. Previous exposure in Coal-based Thermal Power Plants with AFBC Boiler knowledge is advantageous.
Education: Full-time VETA education background, particularly in Boiler technology, is preferred.
Essential Skills:
– Proficiency in major Boiler & Turbine repairs
– Expertise in Cold and Hot startups of AFBC boilers
– Quick response to plant emergencies like blackouts and system failures
– Competent troubleshooting in boilers and DCS panels
Responsibilities:
– Shift operation management in a thermal power generation unit:
– Planning and execution of shift operational activities. Trouble shooting of operational problems faced in shift and actions taken to solve the same
– Load management planning and stoppage drives of plant.
– Routine Check after taking charge of Shift /Shift operation & Reporting:.
– Coordinating with field Operator and completing small maintenance related jobs in the shifts.
-Monitoring and ensuring environmental compliance in shifts for operation of plant.
– Monitoring & controlling with safe Operation of entire Power plant & utilities and ensure uninterrupted power supply to cement plant as per load requirement.
– Handling all type of emergency situations in Boiler & turbine operation and reduce stoppage of connected load main drives due to operational problems
– Monitoring Coal Bunker level and Fly ash/Bed ash Silo level, Raw Water Tank level regularly in shifts and taking corrective action for same in time.Online job listings
– Filling all the log sheets (Daily):
– Maintain and Update shift log book with critical parameters and main activities carried out in shift and pending tasks
– Noting Hourly Changes made in operation of all the equipment (if any or after operational disturbance after sudden load throw-off).
