    Job Description: 

    • Reporting to the Management Accountant, we are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Payroll Accountant to oversee our payroll processes and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This role is key to ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments for our employees while maintaining the integrity of the processes, our financial systems and reporting. This position is based at our Corporate office .

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and process payrolls ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness.
    • Maintain and update payroll systems, including employee records, tax information, and benefit deductions.
    • Prepare payroll reports, reconcile accounts and post in the respective ledgers and ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance.
    • Handle statutory filings and remittance of payroll-related deductions and contributions.
    • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
    • Support audits by providing required payroll data and documentation.
    • Adhere to the required payroll processes ensuring strict compliance to timelines and approvals.

    Qualifications: 

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional qualifications in accounting CPA or ACCA
    • Qualifications in HR at Diploma level or above will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 3 years proven experience in payroll management or a similar role preferably in a middle sized company.

    Key Competencies: 

    • Proficiency in payroll software i.e. ERP
    • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, statutory and tax regulations, and accounting principles.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Excellent analytical skills
