Resourceful Hub is recruiting on behalf of our respected client in the manufacturing sector. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead the procurement and supply chain function. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing sourcing, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
- Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost-efficiency in purchasing activities.
- Conduct regular cost analyses and work with finance to forecast procurement expenditures.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and service.
- Manage supplier risks and resolve performance issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to manage inventory levels effectively.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, spare parts, and consumables to avoid disruptions.
- Oversee logistics and delivery schedules to ensure efficient flow of goods.
- Ensure procurement practices comply with internal policies, legal standards, and ethical sourcing guidelines.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and generate regular reports on purchasing activity, supplier performance, and KPIs.
- Support audits and risk assessments related to procurement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (CIPS certification is a plus).
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
