The production supervisor will oversee daily production operations, manage and lead production staff on the floor. He will be responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production targets while ensuring safety and quality standards are met and offering technical support.

Supervision and Team Management:
- Lead and supervise a team of Machine Operators and Casual workers in production, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their professional development and productivity.
- Meet performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.
Production Planning and Coordination
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring that production targets, schedules, and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality control, to optimize production efficiency and resolve any operational issues.
- Allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to ensure smooth production flow and minimize downtime.
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to maximize productivity.
- Work collaboratively with leaders on the Administration, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues.
- Control all rotational shift patterns and assist in reassembling all machines and completing all maintenance work.
Quality Control and Safety:
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and drills to identify potential hazards and address them promptly.
- Ensure the work site is free of any wastage and maintain a neat and clean plant site.
- Comply with all safety measures, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Comply with all quality and hygiene measures, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency within the production operations.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging suggestions and ideas from the production team.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate production records, including production volumes, downtime, equipment maintenance, and quality control data.
- Analyse data and provide regular updates to management on production performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a record of all data from equipment such as operation, fuel consumed, and all voltage bases.
Equipment management:
- Monitor all production and processing equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve all issues efficiently and assist in reading all meters and gauges at regular intervals.
- Maintain all boiler operations safely and manage all power consumption.
- Supervise efficient operations of all plant equipment.
- Manage backup generator and associate auxiliary/utilities equipment and maintain all plant operations.
- Resolve all operating issues and perform regular periodic maintenance on all equipment.
- Resolve all issues and inspect and perform tests on all machine parts and supervise all repair activities, and ensure all repairs and operations are performed according to required procedures.
- Install and perform repairs on all plant equipment according to production specifications, and prepare a record of all production and maintain all product equipment. Responsible for the following KPIs:
- OEE
- Productivity
- Utilities kWh/MT
- Water utilisation per MT
Other:
- Monitoring the fuel levels and water levels to ensure continuous production Perform other tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment with leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of production machinery and processes
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Good at problem-solving, quick thinker, able to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Flexible, adapting to shift work and changing production needs
- Strong reporting skills and proficiency in using production management tools.
