The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST)
is one of the implementing institutions of the Centre of Excellence for ICT in East Africa (CENIT@EA), a distinguished regional hub committed to advancing digital skills, fostering innovation, and promoting collaboration within the East African region. As part of its operation endeavors, the project invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the post of Senior Resource Mobilization and Strategic Management Officer (1 Position).
NM-AIST invites applications from suitably skilled, competent, and experienced Tanzanians not above 45 years old.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Essential Attributes- Holder of a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Communications, International Relations, Project Management, or equivalent from a recognized University/College/Institution in East Africa. A PhD or proven experience in Resource Mobilization will be highly advantageous.

- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from various sources, including grants, donations, and partnerships.
- Contribute to creating and implementing innovative models/mechanisms for resource mobilization and social finance.
- Write and submit compelling grant proposals and funding applications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Manage and report on funds in compliance with financial regulations.
- Promote the center’s mission through marketing and public relations efforts.
- Conduct research to identify new funding prospects.
- Develop detailed project proposals and budgets.
- Ensure ethical and legal compliance in all resource mobilization activities.
- Participate in the development of the project’s work plan and budget preparation.
- Monitor and report on the implementation of resource mobilization strategy, project work plans, and budget utilization related to resource mobilization.
- Perform any assigned work for the progress of CENIT@EA as assigned by the Centre Leader.
- Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and financial management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of ICT project management.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of ethical standards and legal requirements in fundraising.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Full-time Three (3) months contract and may be renewed depending on the funds mobilized by the applicant.
- Basic Monthly allowance of TZS 3,500,000 (Subject to all statutory deductions).
- Work station will be at Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology, Nganana – Arusha, Tanzania.
