Job Title: Trading Operator

Location: Dar-E-Salaam, Tanzania

Department: Trading / Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Trading Operator to support the execution and post-trade activities of our trading desk. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth trade flow, accurate settlement, and compliance with internal and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor trade execution, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.

• Manage vessel loading/discharge, stock positions, inland trucking flows.

• Ensure timely communication with suppliers, customers and services providers.

• Monitor trade life cycle events and support operational requirements throughout pre-trade, trade, and post-trade processes.

• Ensure timely and correct booking of trades in internal systems.

• Prepare and maintain documentation related to trades, contracts, and settlements.

• Manage trade confirmations, reconciliations, and reporting obligations.

• Maintain close communication with trading team, risk management, compliance, finance, and logistics teams.

• Ensure adherence to all internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in a trade support or operation role within a trading environment (commodities, financial markets, etc.).

• Familiarity with trading platforms and tools (CTRM/ETRM)

• Strong knowledge of trade life cycle and operational risk principles.

• Excellent Excel and data management skills.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
