PURPOSE:
The Actuarial Manager role provides support to the Subsidiaries and other support functions in the Group such as Finance and Risk. The role involves providing actuarial analysis for the Subsidiaries to ensure the company is always aware of its financial liability position, risks and market dynamics.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and test models and assumptions on actuarial valuation for the subsidiary
- Price new products and provide ratings guidelines for the subsidiary;
- Monitor and analyze experience (claims, persistency, expenses etc.) for the subsidiary
- Review and analyze the investment performance to provide insights for the subsidiary
- Perform asset liability matching position for the business
- IFRS 17 financial reporting for the business
- Review and provide insights on solvency position and capital requirements
- Perform long term financial projections to support decision making
- Review data validation checks on business and finance data sets and reports
- Review of reinsurance arrangements and give recommendations on suitability of the reinsurance arrangements
- Prepare and present quarterly industry analysis report for the subsidiaries and
- Prepare draft quarterly Board Papers.
- Support in special projects of the company

Professional Qualification
- Diploma in Actuarial Techniques.

PURPOSE:
Providing financial analysis to support valuation of the actuarial liabilities, pricing of new products, monitoring the performance of existing products, financial projections, and market intelligence through industry analysis.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect, compile and analyze data for use in quarterly valuation models of liabilities on specific lines of business
- Collect, compile and analyze data for use in product development, monitoring and reviews on specific lines of business
- Consolidate and analyze data from AKI/IRA for use in quarterly industry analysis report
- Perform monthly business and finance data checks on specific lines of business
- Consolidate and analyze data on the investment portfolio for the subsidiary.
Academic and Professional Requirements
Education
- BSc. Actuarial Science or Statistics or Mathematics or related field is required.
- Professional Qualification Student Actuary – At least 3 actuarial exams from the Institute of Actuaries. E

PURPOSE:
The Actuarial Analyst is responsible for performing financial analysis on actuarial liabilities, claims experience, pricing, solvency and capital requirements as well as suitability of reinsurance arrangements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run, adjust and make assumptions on valuation models of claims and premium liabilities on specific lines of business;
- Monitor adequacy of reserves;
- Prepare draft reports e.g. valuation, claims experience, solvency, capital;
- Monitor and investigate claims experience and provide insights on products for specific lines of business;
- Review pricing, check adequacy of premiums and provide recommendation for the specific lines of business;
- Monitor solvency position and capital requirements for the subsidiary;
- Monitor investment performance and prepare quarterly reports;
- Perform asset liability matching position for the business;
- Prepare monthly data reconciliation report for specific lines of business;
- Support in IFRS 17 financial reporting;
- Review and recommend suitability of reinsurance arrangements for specific lines of business and;
- Review and analyze data from AKI/IRA for use in quarterly industry analysis report for specific lines of business;
- Provide support in special projects of the company;
- Provide actuarial support in the Micro Insurance Company.
Academic and Professional Requirements
Education
- BSc. Actuarial Science or Statistics or Mathematics or related field is required.
- Professional Qualification At least 6 actuarial professional papers passed. E
