Job Description
The primary objective of the office of the Director Legal Research and Compliance will be to oversee the effective implementation of the function of the Directorate and augment. The capacity of the office of the County Attorney in carrying out the mandate under the office of the County Attorney’s Act 2020.
- Reporting to the County Attorney. The Director legal research and compliance shall be responsible for; -
- Interpreting the Constitution Statutes and subsidiary legislation for the County Government departments entities.
- Conducting research for the County Government and its entities on various challenges encountered in the implementation of their legal mandate.
- Coordinating capacity building on legal compliance for the County Executive entities.
- Informing the County Executive and its entities of any current legal developments in various fields.
- Conducting research on all legal matters including Contracts, Civil Litigation and Legislation to support other Departments in the office of the County Attorney in the execution of their mandate.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
