    Job Summary:

    As an Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in key accounting tasks, including data entry, expense reporting, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings. You'll assist with financial reporting, audit preparations, and tax compliance, while also contributing to special projects that offer opportunities for growth and development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assisting with Daily Accounting Tasks:

    • Support the accounting team with day-to-day activities, including data entry and expense reporting.
    • Help reconcile bank statements and assist in month-end closing processes.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management. Contribute to the analysis of financial data and trends.

    Audit Preparation:

    • Support internal and external audit processes by gathering necessary documentation and providing assistance as needed.

    Compliance and Documentation:

    • Ensure tax compliance by assisting in tax filing on a timely basis
    • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.

    Other Duties as Assigned:

    • Participate in special projects or assignments as requested by the finance team.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) is an advantage.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

    Job Summary:

    The GR Associate will champion the smooth running of organizational activities by influencing and collaborating with both National and County Governments, Security agencies, state organizations, and the entire community within the area of operations for the provision of an enabling environment to work. The GR Associate will ensure that the company is compliant as far as the Government rules, regulations, and policies are concerned, ensure long term operational efficiency and probity, as well as daily operational compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Proactive Engagement:

    • Actively managing all engagements in the state agencies which includes
    • DOSH- Manage fresh applications and renewals for workplace certificates, report on policy changes, submit accidental forms for WIBA compensation, and resolve conflicts with the government.
    • NEMA- Engage officials for licenses and permits (transport, composting, waste management), and advise on vehicle requirements for county dumping permits. KEBS - Support in sourcing for Standardization marks and their renewals, regularly engage KEBS officials, and share feedback on necessary actions to be taken.
    • KIPI - Support in the engagement of officials regularly to monitor any changes that might arise within the laws, policies, and regulations. Collaborate with other teams to apply for and renew the permits from KIPI.
    • KRA- Collaborate with finance and export teams to resolve issues with KRA and navigate compliance. regen organics
    • NHIF & NSSF -Engage officials for compliance certificates and assist with issues alongside finance and talent teams.
    • NTSA -Maintain relationships, manage annual vehicle inspections, vehicle transfers, and follow up on lost documents.
    • Police Service
    • Manage the Relationship with security agencies i.e. the county commanders, OCS and the CIDS, engage with police on work-related issues and attend court on pending cases until a ruling is issued.

    County Governments

    • Manage licenses, permits, approvals for construction/modifications, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Community engagements
    • Lead CSR activities and build strong relationships with local communities. Reactive Engagement:
    • Serve as the first point of contact for accidents and conflicts with government officials. Ensure timely completion of sensitive tasks in ongoing operations.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's degree in political science, public administration, government or a related field
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with multiple systems across both government and private sectors.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven track record in building relationships with government officials, influencing policy decisions, and fostering strategic partnerships.
    • Strong understanding of governance policies and procedural regulations.
    • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
