Veta-lindi equinor shell scholarship for level 3 trades 2025/2026Introduction

The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), on behalf of VETA-Lindi, in cooperation with Equinor Tanzania AS and Shell Exploration Tanzania Limited, invites eligible candidates to apply for the Level 3 Certificate in six trades offered at VETA Lindi. The available trades are:

  • Electrical Installation

  • Welding and Metal Fabrication

  • Masonry and Brick Laying

  • Design Sewing

  • Textile Technology

  • Motor-Vehicle Mechanics

  • Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Scholarship Benefits

The VETA-Equinor Shell Scholarship covers:

  • Tuition fees

  • Medical insurance

  • Accommodation

  • Meals

  • Transportation

  • Start-up tools
    The duration of study is 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must have passed Level 2 to be eligible for Level 3.

  2. Must have passed Form Four Examinations and been awarded a certificate.

  3. The scholarship is open only to Lindi youth (residents or natives) aged 35 or below.

  4. Priority will be given to female, disabled, and low-income youth, as well as youth who are not in formal employment.

Application Procedure

Applicants must follow the steps below:

  1. Submit an application letter attached with an application form to join Level 3 at VETA Lindi RVTSC in any of the mentioned trades.

  2. Provide an introductory letter from the Street/Village/Ward Executive Officer showing proof of residence and/or native status of Lindi.

  3. Submit the application in electronic form or as a hard copy to the contact provided below.

Important Dates
  • Application Deadline: 13th June, 2025

  • Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews after receiving admission letters for the selected trades.
