Iringa Hope, an International Non-Governmental Organization, operates programs in the Northern highlands of Tanzania, specifically in the regions of Iringa and Njombe, with its headquarters in Iringa. Using a unique approach, Iringa Hope provides agricultural financing, marketing, and training to smallholder farmers in Tanzania. Our goal is to alleviate poverty and empower agricultural entrepreneurs. Position: Accountant
Location: Iringa
Reporting to: Chief Finance Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgeting • Prepare accurate financial reports, statements, and analysis for management • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
- Assist in the preparation of audits and donor reports
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions in NGO, agribusiness, and microfinance operations
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting, preferably in NGO, agribusiness, or microfinance sectors
- Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent organizational skills
