Job Summary
Collaborating with the Health and Safety team to ensure the workplace adheres to health and safety regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure that HSE meetings (including Toolbox) are held, recorded and document controlled
• Investigate, follow up and close out of incidents
• Focus on Fire prevention and emergency response
• Assist management with the implementation of the SHE management system
• Assist in developing and updating the HSE Management system to accommodate changes in legislation and Industry Standards.
• Ensure HSE document and data control systems are maintained by the responsible persons
• Monitor audit findings and recommend corrective and preventative actions
• Issue Non conformance where required
• Ensure that all support documentation in respect of the safety program is received on time and in the correct format from all concerned parties
• Ensure the scope of risk assessments address HSE related areas
• Scope of investigations and Timeline on incident reporting
• Management of competencies of employees, Facilitation of HSE related training
• Conducting and facilitate risk assessments and HSE audits on sites / areas of responsibility
Qualifications:
• University degree in related field
• NEBOSH certificate or OSHA certified (Modules I, II)
• Excellent in excel,word, power point presentation and training section
• Knowledge to integrated management systems audit is added advantage
• 2-4 years’ experience in HSE position
• Pleasant personality, trainable
• Good command of English and Kiswahili.
• Fire fighting certificate
