Position Summary
Ifakara Health Institute seeks a qualified Electrician to join our team at the Ifakara branch in Morogoro. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing ordinary electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems, working from a technical aspect. The candidate must hold a certified electrician qualification from a recognized technical college and have proven experience working with both basic and advanced electrical systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electric wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Test electrical system and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
- Service, clean, and inspect equipment periodically following established PMs (Preventative Maintenance).
- Create notifications and follow up on repairs.
- Perform any additional task assigned by Supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
- Possesses a Form Four certificate along with a certification in electrical installation.
- Have five years of hands-on experience in electrical work.
