We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in daily farm operations, ensuring the smooth running of activities across the farm. Literacy in English and an understanding of various farming operations are essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Livestock Management
• Feed livestock and ensure their water supply is adequate.
• Clean and maintain poultry structures and feeding systems.
• Monitor livestock/poultry health and report any issues promptly.
2. Crop Production:
• Assist in planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting crops as required.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides under supervision.
• Maintain crop health by monitoring and reporting signs of disease or pests.
3. Farm Maintenance:
• Operate and maintain farm equipment and tools.
• Repair fences, irrigation systems, and other infrastructure when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness across the farm.
4. Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including planting schedules, feeding l ogs, and equipment usage.
• Assist in updating inventory for farm supplies.
2. General Duties:
• Perform other duties assigned by the Farm Manager to support the overall productivity of the farm.
• Ensure adherence to farm safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
• Education:
• Basic literacy in English is mandatory, with the ability to read, write, and understand instructions.
• Experience:
• Previous experience working on a farm is an added advantage.
• Skills:
• General knowledge of crop production/livestock care.
• Ability to operate basic farm machinery
• Physical stamina to handle farm work.
