We are seeking a competent and experienced Foreman to oversee and manage construction or project operations in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will lead a team, ensure quality work, and meet project deadlines while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Key Responsibilities:

Project Supervision:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily construction activities on site.
  • Ensure tasks are completed according to blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.

Team Leadership:

  • Assign and monitor work among team members.
  • Provide guidance and resolve any work-related issues or conflicts.
  • Motivate and train workers to maintain high performance and productivity.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Address deficiencies promptly to maintain project integrity.

Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce safety procedures and ensure the worksite adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections.

Materials Management:

  • Monitor inventory and order construction materials as required.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of tools and equipment.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit daily progress reports.
  • Communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions to management.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Liaise with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Foreman or similar role in construction or related industries.

Education:

  • Diploma or certification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of construction processes, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong organizational and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Communication Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication in English and Swahili.

Physical Stamina:

  • Ability to work outdoors and in physically demanding conditions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driving license.
  • Familiarity with Nairobi's construction regulations and codes is an added advantage.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and public holidays as required.
