Overview:
- The Head of Sales and Marketing will provide strategic leadership to the Sales and Marketing department, ensuring the achievement of growth objectives and strengthening the company’s market presence. This role requires an experienced leader to foster ownership, accountability, and empowerment within the team, addressing gaps in leadership and delivering impactful results.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The Head of Sales and Marketing will have the following key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall sales and marketing strategy in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Provide clear direction, set performance benchmarks, and ensure the team’s alignment with strategic priorities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the department.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and empower the Sales and Marketing team, including Business Managers, Senior Marketing Executives, Marketing Executives as well as the Sales Team.
- Address gaps in leadership by instilling a sense of ownership and responsibility among team members.
- Oversee onboarding, and professional development of team members to build a high-performing department.
Business Growth and Relationship Management:
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and expanding the company’s client base.
- Strengthening partnerships with agencies and direct clients through consistent engagement and exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure timely and effective execution of advertising campaigns.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish and monitor performance metrics for the Sales and Marketing team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including forecasts and performance analyses, for presentation to the Director.
- Implement data-driven decision-making processes to enhance marketing ROI and sales efficiency.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Analyze market trends, competition, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead the development and execution of innovative marketing campaigns and sales initiatives.
- Identify and address advertising gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for growth.
Process Optimization:
- Streamline workflows and processes to improve efficiency and productivity within the department.
- Champion adherence to the ISO 9001 standard and ensure the team observes the Sales and Marketing SOP.
- Represent the department during all ISO annual audits and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ISO standards, driving compliance and best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent the Sales and Marketing department in key meetings and events, providing updates to the Director.
- Participate in networking events and industry forums to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) certification will be a significant advantage.
- A minimum of 9 years of professional experience in sales and marketing, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of media, advertising infrastructure and market dynamics.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Data-driven mindset with excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to foster ownership, accountability, and empowerment within teams.
- Proficiency in preparing comprehensive reports and forecasts.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards is a major advantage.
