    To effectively manage all the information from and to the leaf centres and ensure it is filed or archived as per company record management. The role deliverables include the sourcing for all the leaf growing requirements within Low Value Spend threshold and administration for Tactical Sourcing spends. The role also links with inventory management of Agronomy Materials and Supplies.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    •  Timely processing in BAT Leaf or any other applicable system of all approved Materials and Supplies (M&S) receipts, issues, purchases, shipment and returns.
    • Reconcile M&S stocks in BAT Leaf against physical report and prepare monthly returns.
    • Receive the entire leaf growing purchase requirement, ensure they are correct, duly approved and then requisition for the PO generation.
    • Ensure proper record keeping both electronic and paper as per BAT records management policy.
    • Oversee verification of all farmer contracts and their attachments before contracting
    • Receive and requisition for all leaf growing staff payments request for on-ward approval.
    • Receive and process purchase requests from GLT and Leaf growing as per the company Procurement Policy
    • Support Leaf Administration processes by carrying out quarterly Leaf centre visits to improve efficiency and enforce controls and Leaf growing process maps.
    • Establish good and positive communication with all stakeholders to create good working and public relations for achievement of company business goals.
    • Manage the filing and archiving of all the leaf records.

    What are we looking for?

    • Ability to develop a credible and professional relationship with middle line management.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline i.e. Supply Chain/Agronomy/Extension
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant working field
    • Demonstrate a good level of understanding IT systems and in particular the BAT Leaf
    • SAP exposure - mandatory
    • Strong leadership and motivational skills coupled with excellent communication ability.

    The Talent Deployment Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the deployment of the talent cycle plan across South Africa and East & Southern Africa. This role ensures that the right talent is in the right place at the right time to meet business needs and drive organizational success. The Talent Deployment Manager will work closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Managers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement talent deployment strategies. The Talent Deployment Manager will align the cycle plan with specific cluster requirements and support the implementation of strategies to help us attract, develop and retain employees whilst ensuring the necessary governance. The Talent Deployment Manager should have a solid understanding of talent management and support the HR Business Partners in deployment of the cycle plan in line with our business and people strategy.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • The deployment of the SA & ESA Talent cycle including culture & engagement
    • Support in driving D&I initiatives through our ERG’s and D&I reporting/tracking
    • Execution of internal and external EVP strategy across markets
    • Deployment of talent  strategies in line with the business and people strategy across markets
    • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Managers to identify talent needs and execute deployment plans.
    • Manage the end-to-end talent deployment process, including attraction, development and retention.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of talent deployment strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on talent-related matters.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local labor laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of talent deployment activities and metrics.

    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent management or a related HR role.
    • Strong understanding of talent management and deployment processes.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in HR systems and tools, such as SuccessFactors – added advantage.
    • Experience in managing talent deployment across multiple regions is preferred.
    • Knowledge of local labour laws and regulations in South Africa and East & Southern Africa will be beneficial.
