    • A Montessori teacher is responsible for guiding and facilitating learning experiences in a classroom setting based on the Montessori Method, which emphasizes self-directed learning and hands-on activities. The teacher helps to create a prepared environment that supports and encourages independence, exploration, and discovery.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in education with a concentration in early childhood education
    • Certification in Montessori education
    • Experience in a Montessori environment
    • Experience with keeping the environment safe and conducive to learning
    • Knowledge of Montessori materials and techniques
    • Knowledge of child development and psychology
    • Ability to work effectively with children and parents from diverse backgrounds

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implement the curriculum and Montessori philosophy
    • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Montessori Method and meet individual student needs
    • Design and prepare a stimulating and organized environment for learning
    • Observe and track student progress, and provide ongoing feedback to students and parents
    • Encourage independence and decision-making skills in students
    • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and overall classroom activities
    • Assist in scheduling, maintaining, and updating school records
