Our client a Manufacturer in Mombasa is looking to fill the role of a Procurement Manager who will be responsible for reducing purchasing cost, procuring quality material, ensuring timely deliveries, checking bills and timely bill payment.

Responsibilities
- Would be responsible for reducing purchasing cost, procuring quality material, ensuring timely deliveries, checking bills and timely bill payment.
- Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost & quality so as to obtain maximum benefit of company.
- Reviewing, comparing, analysing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
- In charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, releasing PO and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules
- Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
- Working experience on ERP’s
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Requisite Experience Essential
- Min 8 yrs in Procurement Background Preferred and a Min 3 years in a Managerial position.

- Proven knowledge in the area of sourcing

- Strong, effective negotiation skills
- Good Working Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint
